Aubrey Carruth

Aubrey Carruth has been working in education in different facets since 2003. After obtaining a degree in human development from University of California Davis she opened and operated her own preschool/daycare. The program, Modern Munchkins, specialized in educating and caring for children from six weeks old to eight years. Moving from state she had to sell the operation and began as a substitute teacher for kindergarten through high school while earning a multiple subject teaching credential from Western Governors University. Being a life-long learner, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Walden while teaching elementary school. She now enjoys teaching her “littles” serving as the lead transitional kindergarten teacher for her district and using the masters to teach college part time helping even adults to further their education. When she is not teaching, she enjoys traveling, photography and scrapbooking the memories of her travels. Aubrey has been to 17 countries and likes to say, “I haven’t been everywhere, but it is on my list.”
