Dr. Olin Oedekoven

Dr. Olin Oedekoven is President and CEO of Peregrine Leadership Institute and Peregrine Academic Services located in Gillette, Wyoming. The Leadership Institute conducts leadership development workshops and seminars, human resource management consulting, and employee team development sessions. Peregrine Academics provides online testing services to colleges and universities for accreditation requirements. Dr. Oedekoven received a BS degree from South Dakota State University, a MS degree from University of Wyoming, a MSS degree from the US Army War College, and a MBA and Ph.D. from Northcentral University. Dr. Oedekoven is a retired brigadier general with the Wyoming Army National Guard.

Dr. Olin O. Oedekoven has over 30 years of leadership and academic experience at all organizational levels. He has extensive work experience in both the public and private sectors with a comprehensive background in management, business administration, university education, and organizational leadership.
Dr. Oedekoven graduated from South Dakota State University with a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences. He then attended the University of Wyoming where he received a Master’s in Wildlife Management. Dr. Oedekoven continued his formal education with North Central University where he received both an MBA and his Doctorate in Business Administration with specializations in Management and Public Administration. He also completed a post-doctoral program in human resource management.
Dr. Oedekoven has several years of higher learning experience with North Central University, Columbia Southern University, the University of Wyoming, and Gillette College. He has successfully chaired over 40 dissertation committees. Dr. Oedekoven has assisted with graduate-level field research in wildlife management as well as in business and public administration.
Dr. Oedekoven co-founded the Peregrine Leadership Institute in 2004 and Peregrine Academic Services in 2008. He became involved with dual-accreditation requirements in 2005 and has continued that work by providing online training and testing services related to academic leveling courses, the common professional component, and APA writing style.
He is a retired brigadier general with the Wyoming Army National Guard.
Dr. Olin O. Oedekoven has been creating and leading effective teams at all organizational levels from first-line leader through strategic leadership for nearly 30 years. He understands the unique value of a team and how the dynamics of a team shape team performance. Olin works with large and small companies on business process improvement, strategic planning, and organizational development in both the private and public sectors.

Olin graduated from South Dakota State University with both a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences and a B.S. in General Biology. Olin then attended the University of Wyoming where he received an M.S. in Wildlife Management. He received an MBA from Northcentral University and is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College where he received an M.S.S. in Strategic Management and Leadership. Olin then returned to Northcentral University where he received a Ph.D. in Business Administration with duel concentrations in Business Management and Public Administration. Shortly thereafter he completed a post-doctoral teaching specialization in Human Resource Management.

His military experience includes senior staff, battalion command, and brigade command assignments. As Brigadier General of the Wyoming Army National Guard, he commanded over 1,900 full-time and part-time soldiers. Olin retired from the National Guard in 2011.
